Kenyan Aunty Comes Through // Primark

So allow me to introduce you to my Kenyan aunty who makes sure that I have the cutest accessories. As we continue on this fashion journey, I will be styling my looks with some of my favorite African accessories – many of which my Kenyan aunty has sent over. In this post I am featuring one of my favorite purses: a woven purse with beaded accents.

The beauty of these accessory is that it is just the pop of color that this outfit needs. I could have gone all black but as I continue celebrating the spring with some of my favorite dresses – see this post (here) and (here) – there was need for a pop of color and so I chose pink. I’m a girly girl and nothing says it more than a flared dress with some pops of pink!

Where am I wearing this?

  • Dinner date – the black is slimming and perfect for a date. The heels give height and make your legs look longer than they are.
  • Charity event – the black dress sends a message that the event is of importance and the pop of color brings out your personality
  • Blogger lunch – this outfit is sure to be a big hit at a networking event like a blogger lunch
