This post is one that I like to think of as a snack. You know – it gives you a little something to nibble on as you go about your day. So yes folks, this is your snack! Your bite of fashion inspiration for the day.
I was heading out to a formal event last week and I needed a coat that wouldn’t be winter heavy (as the weather didn’t merit it) but still warm enough to withstand that New England breeze. So I turned to my favorite coat from Primark. This light grey coat is one of my top spring transition pieces. Many times we think of transition pieces in terms of going from wearing pants to skirts but coats in my opinion are some of the most important pieces needed to complete a look.
Additionally, and this is just from a practical perspective, I live in Boston. And after 10 winters here (yes folks, 10!), I have come to realize that there is no cheating the weather. In this weird period between the end of winter and the beginning of spring, you need a coat that is both warm (to protect you from the wintery cold) yet light enough to carry when walking around at an event.
