This look is one of my favorites because it marries three of my favorite things: African print, Converses and brunch. While the ratio of heels to sneakers/converses is probably five to one, I am obsessed with finding one of a kind Converse pairs like these yellow ones. It took me about three months to find these – I had to walk into a Journeys! I hadn’t been in one in years … let’s just say the store aged me.

Sometimes, as was the case here, I build a look around an article of clothing or a pair of shoes. Once I found these Converses, I started thinking about what I would pair them with. I chose my African print skirt (gifted by my gorgeous sister) with a black sweater and yellow purse. This look is fall brunch ready.
