All The Frills

You ever wear a dress that automatically makes you feel beautiful? This Charlotte Russe floral ruffle asymmetrical maxi dress does that for me. I know that I’ve recently been rocking Charlotte Russe looks (here) but it’s hard not to when their range in terms of fashion and sizing is truly impressive. Oh and the cost? Yeah – you definitely don’t break the bank shopping there!

When I saw this dress I immediately rushed to the dressing room to try it on as I had already started planning where I would wear it (I’m that girl – read here)! It’s the perfect summer to fall transition dress, which is why one of the things that I love most about it is the color. Grey will be a recurring color in my fall to winter wardrobe! The grey lends itself to a fall day party dress vibe or the perfect dinner dress on a warm fall night.

The ruffles add a feminine touch to this look. I love where the ruffles are positioned: running across my hips creating a slimmer look around my hips. And honestly who doesn’t love a #slimthick look?

I’m 5 foot nothing aka really short, which usually makes me apprehensive when wearing maxi dresses but this dress was the perfect length and when paired with these gorgeous heels, the asymmetrical design lent itself to making this shortie look taller and leaner.

Oh! Before I get questions on the purse … it’s from Kenya one of the purses my Kenyan aunty hooked me up with! Never heard of my Kenyan aunty? Read about her here.
