Cocktails! I just got back from my trip to Ghana a couple of days ago and while I’m working on my Ghana Run Down post (you can find past trip recaps here) I figured I start off with what I wore while on vacation. And nothing says vacation more than resort wear!
Y’all see me on this beach right? So see what had happened was – we got flewed out! Part of what made this trip to Ghana so special was the fact that we were not constrained to one part of the country. We explored Accra to Akosombo to Cape Coast to Busua, which is where this post finds us.
We left Accra early Saturday morning and boarded a 7am flight to Takoradi. Once at Takoradi we had a friend generously have us driven to Busua. Busua is a town located in the western part of Ghana. We were in Busua for the Asabaako festival(we’ll get to this festival at a later post).
We stayed at the Busua Beach Resort, which was perfectly located right at the beach calling for my favorite resort wear pieces. And y’all already know I was ready. Starting with this jumpsuit from Charlotte Russe (similar).
This jumpsuit is the perfect example of resort wear: light, flowy, fitting (where needed) and unique. These are the elements that I look for in resort wear. Knowing that the temperatures were going to be north of 80 degrees, I needed to be prepared and this jumpsuit was the right outfit for the day.
I spent the entire day feeling comfortable, stylish and incredibly beautiful. Resort wear just gives me so many bougie aunty vibes … wouldn’t you agree?
