I like to think of myself as a #thickums girl – you know, someone with the right curves in the right places. And the older I get the more I’m learning to embrace who I am, flaws and all. So when I got the chance to pick any vacation look from Fashionnova, I chose this stunning red Monroe wrap dress.
Now if you are a curvy girl or know who Diane von Furstenberg is – you know the magic that is the wrap dress! How she hugs every curve where needed and flows over the not-so-special areas lol! Oh the wrap dress … she’s my favorite! But I digress … I wore this wrap dress during a recent trip to Ibiza, Spain. I posted it on my Instagram and boy did people love it – so I figured sharing is caring so why not talk about where I got the dress and how you too can get the vacation dress of your dreams!
The dress itself is made from the very breathable chiffon fabric, which is perfect for warm weather! The Ibiza heat was unforgiving and the low adjustable back straps helped not only in keeping me cool but also ensured that I didn’t feel like I was ‘pouring’ out of the dress – ladies, you know what I mean. This dress was made for vacation heaven and on this day, Ibiza was just that!
The dress comes in red or black but I chose the red as I felt that it was more ‘Spain’ … vibrant, youthful and fun! I loved the length as well! Im five foot nothing and the maxi length was just right! I felt über feminine bordering on regal! You know when you wear the dress and you feel like you own the day? That was me in this dress! I was gorgeous and unstoppable … lol. I took a couple of snaps in the outfit as I usually do – not only to memorialize how fabulous this dress was to remind myself that despite all the flaws I see in myself, I’m killing the game!
