What I Pack In My Carryon

I’m headed to Ottawa for a couple of days and I’m so excited to see my younger sister … she graduates Carlton U in a couple of months! I’m officially old-ish (yikes!).

I’m usually on the go and I’ve become great at packing exactly what I need by location and time of year. How did I get there? Firstly, I downloaded my fave travel app: PackPoint. Heard of it? No? Well, allow me to introduce you to the app that I call my packing genie.Packpoint creates the ideal packing list based on weather, activities and length of stay. It really is the perfect travel companion! The app allows you to customize the items suggested so that you are able to take out the items that don’t make sense for you and and add those that you only seem to remember when at your destination. Don’t you hate it when that happens? You leave home base thinking you have everything and unpack at the hotel with no toothpaste? Urghhh Packpoint has solved all those problems for me!

So when it came to putting together my carryon for this Ottawa trip, I plugged all relevant details in the app about a week ago and then customized it. And two days before my flight I got to packing! My carryon packing list varies is usually the same with slight variations on if I’m heading internationally or staying locally in the states.

So what’s in my carryon?
