How I’m spending July 4

I’ve officially lived in the states for over 10 years and for the first time, I’m going to be in DC for the 4th! I’m so excited about being at the capital during this festive time because DC is rich in history and I feel hella black and beautiful! Some of my friends call me ‘Problem’ because Africancocktail and DC are a legit fun match made in Heaven! With that said, I have a rough idea of what my itinerary will be. It’s pretty simple actually:

1. Have lunch at Nando’s with friends
2. Attend a day party
3. Watch the fireworks
4. Get ready to dance the night away
5. Reflect on how blessed we are to be free
