Fitness Roundup: February

February has come to an end and boy do I feel and look different! The saying goes:

  • Accountability – this has been one of the biggest tools that has helped me stay on track this month. I have an accountability partner for my #FebruaryAbsChallenge. I also have an accountability partner that I check in with daily (ok most days – sometimes I forget y’all!). Accountability has been key as I get to discuss my failures and success with my partners. My partners also hold me accountable: they don’t coddle me at all! They are understanding when I hit hurdles but they are also very quick to remind me of what my goals are and how much more work I need to put in. In short they are my support system. Do you have accountability partners?
  • Patience – this month had me so frustrated over not seeing results right when I wanted to. You know, when you work out all month long, you eat right, meditate, mind your business and still don’t lose all the weight? Yeah, this month had me catching a case whenever the scale did not match my expectations. But the lesson this month is patience because despite the scale not reflecting the number I expected, I lost inches, strengthened my core, ran faster than I have in years and well – I feel better than I have in a long time! So my loves, if your numbers aren’t what you expect, remember that there are so many other metrics that you can use to define success.
