Hey spring, is that you? Happy first day of spring y’all. I’m so glad that we are finally wrapping up the winter – although Boston is still under a winter storm watch! Mother Nature isn’t done with New England and I’m so ready for more sunshine. This African needs those rays to survive!

So while the Boston weather is threatening a snow storm, I decided to celebrate the first day of spring with this gorgeous Bardot pencil dress from Shein. Shein is one of my favorite companies! They sell affordable fashion ranging from xs to plus size. I’ve always been a huge fan of their shoes (see my post (here) and when I saw their latest spring fashion, I had to get some myself!
I absolutely love this Bardot pencil dress. It hugs every curve and its length is just perfection. Any shorter and the dress would have been scandalous and any longer – well that just wouldn’t have worked! The mesh sleeves add a touch of femininity and when coupled with the floral embroidery takes this black dress and elevates it to a formal pencil dress.
As you can see, the dress is form – fitting perfection! When they say true to size, they actually mean it. And who doesn’t love a dress that looks great on a hanger and even better on your body?!
Finally, I love the versatility of the look. This dress is one that you can wear when attending multiple occasions. And who doesn’t love buying one dress and being able to style it in a variety of ways? Think … Tiffany Haddish and her white dress – this black number can definitely be worn at different events allowing you to slay every time you have it on.
