I love weddings! I cry very time I’m at a wedding y’all. I’ve attended two weddings this year and both times … tears everywhere! I’m usually composed but there is something about hearing those vows and knowing the people saying them that just has me losing it every single time.
So when thinking about what to wear as a wedding guest I always think about wearing pieces that are special. In this case I picked this gorgeous floral chiffon maxi skirt that just floats in the slightest breeze. Every movement in this skirt looks like dancing a very complicated waltz!
I paired this skirt with my long sleeved pearl top that honestly guys, I am obsessed with all on its own! I think wedding guest attire should always feel special. They should be pieces that you wouldn’t wear on a daily. Wedding guest attire should make you feel regal with a side of ‘ready for whatever’!
Oh! And heels, seriously – I’m five foot nothing so you know what – these five inch stilettos were a must! I can dance in them and still look amazing: the ultimate guest combo!
We have a couple more days left y’all! Have you enjoyed the 30 skirts in 30 days series? Drop me a comment below or over on Instagram @Africancocktail.
I’m Binja, an African based healthcare IT consultant by day and an #Africancocktail at all times! Who is an #Africancocktail? Allow me to explain: I’m half Congolese (DRC) and half Kenyan (hella African) – that along with the fact that I’ve grown up in five countries on three continents has contributed to my being an amalgamation of cultures (or in my case a cocktail). Yes, I’m one of those ‘third culture kids’ who sounds British but speaks Swahili and French with an American accent. So yes folks – I’m an #Africancocktail!
