Today’s look is one that I consider travel ready. As y’all can see, no heels in sight! This is what my travel uniform looks like when I am in a skirt.

I love this peach blossom midi skirt from Chicwish. I paired it with a top that I purchased from the restaurant chain Nando’s! Yes y’all, this is travel chic lol! I always buy t-shirts from restaurants that I love (maybe I’ll do a series in another post!). I wore my flats as I do not believe in wearing heels at the airport – especially if you don’t have pre-check or global entry. I just don’t get wearing heels at the airport or on the plane … unless you are flying private … but that’s just me.

So this travel ready look is one that I love because it’s easy to throw together and features mostly dark colors. I prefer darker colors when traveling as I would hate to spill a drink or food on light colored clothes that I wouldn’t be able to launder until I got back home from a trip. So, I usually opt for darker washed clothes when traveling. I love the pop of color the peach blossoms add to this look. I wouldn’t be the vibrant Africancocktail if I didn’t have any color in my looks! The blush pink is the perfect feminine touch to the look and ties in really well with the nude flats.
