Who else has been binge watching Christmas movies? Ever watched Home Alone? One of my favorite lines in the movie is, ‘Merry Christmas ya filthy animals!’ this line always cracks me up and brings back so many fond childhood memories. Home Alone is probably in my top five best Christmas movies along with The Holiday (Cameron Diaz), Best Man Holiday and a bunch more … y’all get it, I love this time of year!

We are six days away from Christmas and I figured it’s time to share my take on a Christmas Day look.

I decided to take a non – traditional route and pick the color blue with pops of red unlike the traditional all red, all green or red and green combo. The key to creating a unique Christmas Day look is to select pieces that are grand. By this I mean pieces that you wouldn’t traditionally wear year round. In my case it’s this tulle maxi skirt. I am always on the look out for pairings when it comes to this skirt. And in this case, my blue and white sweater was the perfect match.

Once I had the outfit locked down, I decided on a color that I felt still gave a nod to the holiday all while complementing the ensemble. Red was my color of choice. I mean who doesn’t look good in red?

The red pops of color came from my shoes and accessories. I chose red fringed heels, tassel earrings and my favorite Aldo clutch. As is my M.O. I threw on a pair of sunnies, a red lip and was good to go!
