My legit goal is to be the rich aunty that shows up at family reunions – dazzling, offering unsolicited wisdom, spoiling my nephews and nieces and then side eyeing the trifling cousins and uncles the entire time! Yes folks – and this is what I will be wearing to the cookout.
In true fall colors, I’m sticking to neutrals. I love pairing pieces that vary in textures and this look was a great example of how to do it. I paired this smooth leather jacket with my newest ribbed sweater skirt and my softest blouse. All these textures make this look the perfect fall/winter ensemble.
I love the fact that this can be recreated in many ways – tag me if you do so. I would love to see your take on how you style textures!
What do you think about this look? Let me know in the comments or stop by my instagram @Africancocktail and drop me a note!
I’m so excited we get to do this again! Have you seen day 1 (here) and 2 (here) looks (here)?
I’m Binja, an African based healthcare IT consultant by day and an #Africancocktail at all times! Who is an #Africancocktail? Allow me to explain: I’m half Congolese (DRC) and half Kenyan (hella African) – that along with the fact that I’ve grown up in five countries on three continents has contributed to my being an amalgamation of cultures (or in my case a cocktail). Yes, I’m one of those ‘third culture kids’ who sounds British but speaks Swahili and French with an American accent. So yes folks – I’m an #Africancocktail!
